It can be easy to go through life doing what is expected. Jobs. Families. Social obligations. Then, something happens to make us look differently at what we are doing, and perhaps to do the unexpected.
Art happened, for me. After practicing law for more than 32 years no one expected this, including me! For whatever reason, perhaps many, I did not explore my creative side during those years. I did not allow myself to do something I love.
Now I have made time in my life to work on this once-buried passion. I discovered alcohol ink and yupo paper. And I am exploding! This medium is hard to control. Just like with people, however, you can get to know alcohol ink and learn to love it. And just like with most things in life, with enough practice comes some skill development. You can learn to master a technique and produce beautiful pieces of art. I love this new chapter in my life and I look forward to many more years with my new found passion. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
